The "China Industrial Transfer and Development Matching Event (Hainan) 2025," themed "Building a Free Trade Port Together, Sharing New Opportunities," was held on the 17th in Haikou, Hainan Province, with 110 projects signed.

According to Wang Xiuhua, Deputy Director of the Hainan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the projects signed included a diverse range of business entities such as central enterprises (state-owned enterprises directly under the central government), listed companies and well-known private enterprises.

The industrial sectors were extensive, covering distinctive industries with advantages such as biomedicine, high-end food processing and advanced equipment manufacturing, as well as future-oriented high-tech industries including commercial space development and deep-sea science and technology. In the commercial space sector, major projects signed covered rocket-related, satellite-related and data-related areas, as well as "space plus" industries, including satellite development, launch services and data applications. In the digital economy sector.

Hainan has attracted multiple major digital tech enterprises, with related fields spanning big data, artificial intelligence (AI), cross-border data flows, semiconductors, and IT application and innovation. As the implementation of the Hainan Free Trade Port's "zero-tariff customs operation" approaches, the open policy environment, the potential of the vast market and the continuously optimised business environment are attracting investment to Hainan from both domestic and international sources. Since the beginning of this year, 238 projects have been signed in Hainan's high-tech industry sector, with a total contract value exceeding 100 billion yuan (1 yuan is approximately 21.2 yen).
