The 2025 Quantum Science, Technology and Industry Conference opened in Hefei, Anhui Province on the 20th, where major achievements in the fields of quantum science, technology and industry were intensively announced at the opening ceremony, according to China News Service.

The significant achievements in quantum science and technology announced this time are as follows.

(1) Superconducting quantum computing field: The 'Zu Chongzhi 3' updated the record for 'quantum computational supremacy'.

(2) Neutral atom quantum computing field: The research team, utilising AI, achieved defect-free arrangement control with 2024 atoms.

(3) Photonic quantum computing field: Multi-bit continuous-variable quantum entanglement was realised for the first time on a photonic quantum chip.

(4) Quantum communication field: Intercontinental satellite-to-ground quantum key distribution spanning 12,900 kilometres set a new record.

(5) Quantum precision measurement field: The detection limit for exploring new physical phenomena was improved by 17 orders of magnitude.

This conference, themed 'A Century of Quantum and a Future Pioneered by AI', saw 117 exhibiting companies, with attendance, number of companies and exhibition scale all reaching record highs. (Edited by YF)
